To purchase golf clubs as a gift?

I want to surprise my husband with a new set of clubs for his birthday. Any suggestions on namebrand, etc. Some additional information: it is an avid golfer. It is perhaps once a month or more. He loves golf, but Tiger Woods and I want to keep it reasonable. I know some clubs are very, very expensive. Thanks in advance!

Even fools have their own opinions about what is best. So I would go with certificate or gift card to your favorite store. or even cash, since these days, you can find many clubs used in their favorite field or on eBay. sure it's not as cool as some clubs with a new series bow on it, but this way you can get exactly the clubs you want.
