Snake Eyes 650T Titanium Driver

The evolution of the best-selling 600T series continues with the new 650T driver heads. The face is a newly developed beta titanium alloy from Japan named DAT16V (a variation of the DAT600C). DAT16V contains 16% vanadium compared to 6AL-4V titanium which contains 4% vanadium. Vanadium is known for its high-tensile strength and hardness. The secret to both DAT600C used in the 600T drivers and the DAT16V in the 650T drivers is keeping the strength properties while increasing the elasticity. This is achieved with a proprietary heat treatment which retains the strength yet provides softer feel than most other beta titanium alloys.

A special Reactive Cup Face construction of the 650T may revolutionize driver design. More thickness in the lower half of the face (3.1mm) and then a slight step thinner at the upper portion of the face (2.6mm) allows the face to flex more when contacted above the center. This maximizes the C.O.R./CT and increases initial ball velocity and launch angle while decreasing backspin. This magic combination is getting rave reviews from our test panel, especially by middle and lower handicap players.

Furthermore, unlike many oversized titanium drivers, the 650T is not designed with closed face angles. The sole design has been adjusted to place extra mass in the rear heel area to aid in squaring the face and creating a slight draw bias without a closed face.
